Last December we launched What's Going On on Portfolio. The bet was simple: most investors don't need more data, they need a translator. Tap one button, get a plain-English read on why your portfolio moved that day.
It worked. 88% of users who tried it gave it a thumbs up.
Today we're shipping the natural sequel, and opening the door wider.
What's Going On now works on Markets
You can already ask "what's going on with my portfolio?" Now you can ask the same of the markets themselves.
Open the Markets tab and you'll see a new carousel of questions, picked for you based on what's actually moving:
- Why is US Tech moving?
- Why are Commodities moving?
- Why is Crypto moving?
Tap any of them and you get a short, retail-friendly explanation. No 30-tab news rabbit hole. No "macro outlook" filler. Just the why, in two sentences, backed by real market and earnings data.
The carousel updates every 2 hours, and the questions are ranked by how much each market is actually moving relative to its baseline. Calm day in Tech? You won't see it. Crypto down 6%? It floats to the top.
Portfolio reads got sharper
The Portfolio version of What's Going On also got an upgrade. We've added crypto signals to the context it can see, on top of the earnings data it already used. That means the "why" behind your holdings explains more of what you actually own, not just the headline movers.
We also redesigned the Portfolio screen to make What's Going On? easier to find. Bigger button, better placement, and a subtle shimmer when your portfolio has moved enough to be worth a closer look.

Both upgrades are available across every Delta tier, scaled to your plan:
